Thank you for choosing the RETAIL BASICS PROGRAM ONLINE TRAINING COURSE
This program can be used as an entry level training for all your new employees to ensure they understand the basics of their job roles.
In the busy Retail environment it is often difficult to find the time to thoroughly learn the retail rules and regulations and the acceptable standards required of a Retail employee. This online course can be done at leisure and at a time convenient to the employee. By ensuring staff understand the basics of customer service, retail employability, stock handling and point of sale handling, your business can provide a higher standard of service and product to satisfy retail customers.
PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
The purpose of this training is to provide you with the knowledge and skills required to work effectively in a retail environment. It involves 4 programs:
Basic Customer Service
-Understand what Customer Service is
-Identify External and Internal Customers
-Follow the basic steps involved in processing a customer's order
-Handle Customer complaints
Basic Retail Employability
-How to act responsibly in the workplace
-How to act in a non-discriminatory manner
-Maintain personal presentation
-Follow routine instructions
Basic Stock Handling
-Get ready to receive goods
-Check incoming stock and delivery documents
-Inspect a delivery according to your store policy
-Rotate and store stock according to FIFO
-Display stock to promote sales
-Maintain safe lifting and carrying techniques according to OHS and store policies
Basic Point of Sale handling
-The importance of the POS position
-Opening, requesting change and closing a POS terminal
-Maintaining an active POS area
-Completing POS transactions
-Wrapping and packaging goods
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
There are no entry requirements for this program.

Hospitality and Retail - supermarkets, convenience stores, grocers, delicatessens, restaurants, hotels, take-away & cafes, catering for private functions, regular markets and stalls.
Accessing the Program In order to complete this course you must have access to a current email address upon commencement, as well as access to the following software and hardware:
o PC with sound output
o Internet Explorer 7 or equivalent
o Microsoft Word
o Microsoft Outlook or another email program.
o Flash 7 player or later
N.B. Users that are operating on Dial-up connections should expect delays in loading of the program based on the bandwidth provided by your service provider.
o Acrobat Reader

Statement of Completion: Please allow up to 21 days after completion for processing and postage of results / award.
Cost Full Rate: $95.00 per program
COURSE COMPLETION TIMEFRAMES
This program is designed to be completed within 14 days of enrolment. Should you have trouble completing the program in that timeframe please contact the NRA.

Once you have completed the ONLINE enrolment form you will be sent an email with a link to complete the following online documents before commencing your training.
These processes will only take approximately 5 minutes to complete.
Payment is to be made online and received prior to issuance of user name and password.
The above processes must be completed and payment received by NRA prior to issuing of User Log in details. Please be aware that your bank may take up to three working days to process your payment to NRA.
Once payment is received by NRA (not processed), you will then be forwarded a link to the Training page and your user name and password so that you may commence training.

REFUND POLICY
Refunds will only be granted through use of the Refund Application Process and in the following circumstances:
o if the Program/ course paid for is not made available to the client / student; a full refund will be granted.
o if the client / student is unable to and has not commenced the program / course in due course: 95% of course price will be refunded with 5% retained for administrative costs
Refunds will not be granted if:
o the client / student commences the program/ course and does not complete
o the client / student completes the program / course but does not submit the require evidence or is deemed 'not yet competent' after reasonable assistance and support.
Students/clients are welcome to inquire about refund availability, and to request a Refund Application Form.
The Refund Application Form must be completed and submitted to the NRA for assessment. More detail is available in the form.
